Hot on the heels of its success with NASCAR Racing 2002 Season, Mac game publisher Aspyr Media and partner Vivendi Universal today announced plans to bring NASCAR Racing 2003 Season to the Macintosh, as well.
The new version of the auto racing game sports new 3D graphics, an enhanced physics model, and all the teams, drivers sponsors and every track on the 2003 NASCAR Cup series. It’s currently in development at the studios of long-time Aspyr Media collaborator Westlake Interactive.
Embellishments in this edition include a populated pit row, complete with team “war wagons” and pit signs, aerial objects like planes, helicopters and blimps and more. The enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) will automatically adjust to your driving ability, as well. You’ll also be able to play online over the Internet or on Local Area Networks (LANs).
NASCAR Racing 2003 Season will ship with an estimated retail price of US$49.95, and carries an “E” (for Everyone) rating from the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). System requirements call for a G4/733MHz or dual-processor G4/500MHz system or better; Mac OS X; 4x CD-ROM, 665MB available hard disk space; and ATI Radeon or Nvidia GeForce2 MX 3D graphics accelerator or better.
