Agfa Monotype Corp. today introduced a new Monotype Library. The library comprises over 1,300 classic and contemporary fonts, according to the publisher, including more than 300 new fonts.
Classic entries include faces like Gill Sans and Times New Roman. New fonts like Linex Sans, Haarlemmer and Mosquito have been added, too. Type styles from the 1930s, 50s, 60s, and more recent offerings are also included, including newcomers like Cartier Book (released in 2000), Scene (2002), and the brand-new Mundo Sans. Some fonts specifically designed for Agfa Monotype like the three Rotis families are also included.
The new Monotype Library includes fonts for Windows and Macintosh, and each font includes the Euro currency symbol.
Agfa Monotype noted that it will be distributing the CD-ROM based Monotype Library exclusively, beginning May 1, 2003. The company is now accepting pre-orders by calling 800.424.8973, prompt three.
