Panopticum has released two Photoshop 5.x/6.x compatible plug-ins: Digitalizer 1.0 and Engraver 1.0. Both cost US$24.95.
Panopticum Digitalizer 1.0 offers a variety of digital effects for Photoshop. A Photoshop image is represented by a matrix, the elements of which will form a figure of the initial image. Elements of the image can be figures, letters or any other symbols. You can edit a set of symbols in a special editor. You can also use predefined character sets by loading them from a file. By setting up parameters of the Panopticum plug-in, you can change the quality of picture display and its expressiveness.
Panopticum Engraver 1.0 is a Photoshop plug-in for simulating engraving. You can use it to “cut” through images with thin lines that will form a geometric, engraving-like pattern.
