Digital Voodoo has introduced SD|Greed, a new digital video capture and playback card for the Macintosh aimed at video professionals.
SD|Greed sports one SD-SDI input and one SD-SDI output, 8 channels of AES/EBU digital audio, genlock and analog component input and output, in either NTSC or PAL formats. A 64-bit broadcast PCI card, the SD|Greed handles fully digital SMPTE 259M 10-bit uncompressed input and playback without video compression.
Other features of the SD|Greed include a letterbox function, safe picture and title generator, and a programmable interface for future updates.
Digital Voodoo is demonstrating the SD|Greed card at this week’s NAB 2003 conference, and plans to ship it by SIGGRAPH 2003, which happens this summer. No pricing for the new card was announced as MacCentral posted this article.
