Bella Corp. last week noted the development of keyboards aimed specifically at video professionals, integrating jog/shuttle wheels and more. Now the company has outlined the lineup and offered pricing and availability info.
Bella is offering three new lines, starting with the EZ Keyboard Professional series. The EZ Keyboard Professional Series feature color and icon-coded keycaps and an integrated jog/shuttle controller. Included software offers presets for popular applications, with more available for download from Bella’s Web site. “Specialty” keys can be programmed with direct and combination keystrokes, for Mark In and Mark Out functions or other similar abilities. Web, e-mail and multimedia keys are also included. The keyboards are customized for Final Cut Pro, Xpress DV, Premiere and Pinnacle Edition, and cost US$169.
The EZ Keyboard Elite Series feature color and icon-coded keycaps as well, along with a programmable scroll wheel. Web, e-mail and multimedia keys are also included. The Elite Series is customized for Final Cut Pro and the Windows version of Premiere, and is priced at $129.95.
Aimed at consumers, the Optima Keyboard also sports the same built-in jog/shuttle controller and Specialty Keys of the Professional Series, along with sticker sets to help navigate editing applications. The Mac DV Keyboard includes a sticker set for Final Cut Express. The keyboard also ships with software presets for most popular applications, along with Web, e-mail and multimedia keys. The new keyboard costs $99.95.
Bella anticipates delivery of the new keyboards by mid-May 2003.
