Melonsoft has released Advent, a Web ad server designed to work with Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.
Advent enables you to set up a self-contain ad list, and automatically generates HTML code for Web page insertion. You can control the number of impressions an ad will be viewed, and remove the ad from rotation once it’s hit its limit. You can also customize server port settings, number of simultaneously open sockets, and other preferences.
Advent maintains a text-based log so you can review server activity, and also provides a monitor to give you a quick visual indication of what the server is doing. The monitor can also be customized with different colors set to your preferences to show you the status of various events.
Advent cost US$50 to register. More information and download links are available from Melonsoft’s Web site.
