Xtralean Software has released ImageWell, a new image publishing application that provides simple image editing and upload features to iDisk locations and Web servers. It’s designed for Mac OS X 10.2 or later.
ImageWell is accessed through the top menu bar. Image editing features include the ability to resize from 5 to 100 percent. Resizing an image is accomplished with a slider bar, and built-in meters tell you the resized width and height in pixels, along with the approximate load time at dial-up speed.
You can use one of 12 different cutout shapes to “decorate” your image and add borders of varying widths and colors, as well. ImageWell also lets you add labels to the top, bottom, left or right of the image, crop the picture, add dialogue balloons, “thought clouds” and more.
The software features drag and drop support and one-button send, copy and paste feature. The software features integrated support for uploading images to .Mac iDisks and WebDAV accounts, and works with FTP servers as well. It also can be configured to automatically copy image URL or HTML tag information for you to use to embed Web pages or e-mails once your image is uploaded.
ImageWell is free to download and use for a limited time only.
