Representatives from Macworld magazine, Mac Design, and the Mac Based Computer Project will guest on this week’s edition of Your Mac Life, the Internet show about all things Mac.
Rick LePage, editor-in-chief of Macworld magazine, will be on hand to discuss their new “Digital Hub” newsstand edition and DVD. Dave Moser of MacDesign magazine will drop by to talk about the MacDesign Conference to be held in Chicago, Illinois, May 28-30.
John Fraser, the brains behind the Mac Based Computer Project, formerly known as the iBox Project, will talk with YML host-producer, Shawn King, about his attempts to become a Mac clone maker by bypassing Apple altogether. Fraser, a 21-year-old engineer, is designing a flat Mac compatible system using older, off-the-shelf parts made by Apple and sold to computer repair outfits as spare parts. He’ll use Apple-made motherboards preloaded with Mac ROMs.
Also, MacCentral’s Peter Cohen will round up the latest Mac gaming news. If you have questions for any of tonight’s guests, e-mail them to King.
You can catch Your Mac Life every Wednesday evening from 5:30-8 p.m. (Pacific).
