As expected, Apple on Thursday released an update for Mac OS X, bringing the current version to 10.2.5. The update is also available through the Software Update control panel.
The update delivers enhanced functionality and improved reliability for the following applications, services and technologies: AirPort, Bluetooth, Classic compatibility, FireWire, Graphics, Image Capture, Mail and OpenGL.
Mac OS X 10.2.5 also includes improvements to AFP, web services, dial-up connections over PPP, and Windows file services, as well as audio, disc recording, graphics, and printing improvements. The update also provides updated security services and includes the latest security updates.
Earlier today, Apple made available a Mac OS X 10.2.5 Update CD, which will make updating many computers in a lab environment easier to update to the current operating system. The cost of the CD is US$19.95 and has an estimated ship time of 1-2 days from the online Apple Store.
