Apple announced Final Cut Pro 4 earlier this week at the NAB2003 show. The upcoming version of Apple’s high-end video editing application has won two Best of Show awards at NAB2003, courtesy of United Entertainment Media.
The awards are presented by United Entertainment Media “in recognition of outstanding achievement in the advancement of the art and science of video technology.”
United Entertainment Media sponsors events and publishes magazines and Web sites for professionals in audio, music, video, broadcast, and related fields. Its publications include Government Video, which reports how video, television and digital imaging technologies are being used in the public sector at federal, state, county, municipal and local levels; and Videography, which focuses on pros who create video content.
The different publications of United Entertainment give their own awards as part of the Best of Show honors. Government Video bestowed upon Final Cut Pro 4 a Government Video Salutes award, while Videography honored the product with a Vidy Award.
