ProInventory offers record-keeping solution

Intelli Innovations’ ProInventory has been released. It’s a software application for keeping records of objects (collections, retail items, movies, libraries, etc.) for personal or business use.

Available for Mac OS X and Mac OS 9, the new software features:

An item editor with quantity and library “checked in/out” status capabilities;

Tab-delimited text import with custom field matching capabilities;

A customizable list viewer with reorderable, resizable, and sortable columns;

Integrated list search options;

Customizable export capabilities with record scope, delimiter, line break, and column header options;

Pre-defined fields for product barcode/identifier, company, name, model, price, size, color, quantity, library status, and notes;

Database compatibility for abDataTools’ db Reports for generating customized, printed reports of the current inventory status.

ProInventory has a backward-compatible database format for use with Intelli Innovations’ ProSQL database management software. It’s also designed to integrate with the Intelli Innovations’ IntelliScanner USB Barcode Reader product line.

In fact, the software was originally offered exclusively with the IntelliScanner 4000i USB Barcode Scanner. However, ProInventory 1.0 is an updated version of the original bundled software; as a stand-alone product, it no longer requires a barcode scanner for operation. It costs US$39.95 for a single-user license and $499 for a site license.
