Intelli Innovations has released Address Validator, a utility designed to help companies make sure the addresses they use are free of errors that might cause problems for the U.S. Postal Service.
Address Validator “spiders” each postal address in a tab-delimited file, and checks it for errors against the U.S. Postal Services own national address databases. It then returns a standardized address list including correct street names, abbreviations, and full zip+4 (nine digit) zip codes.
Address Validator connects to the Internet and corrects up to 75 addresses per second. It provides users with a record status area that shows you the validation status, along with errors and correction types. A flexible address browser can display customized column views, and integrated search options are also available. It also employs a backward-compatible database format that works with Intelli Innovations’ ProSQL database software. There are other features, too.
Address Validator costs US$699, and requires no ongoing database or support subscriptions. A demo version is available from the Web site. Address Validator works with Mac OS X or Mac OS 9.1 or later.
