The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (lafcpug), will take an in-depth look at Final Cut Pro 4.0 at their Wednesday, April 23 meeting at the Digital Cinema Lab, located at 6433 Hollywood Blvd. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m. with the event getting underway at 6:45 pm.
Final Cut Pro 4.0 was introduced by Apple at the NAB2003 trade show. The new version incorporates more than 300 new features, according to Apple, and introduces “RT Extreme,” a new real-time compositing and effects system. It’s due for a June release.
Brian Meaney, FCP product designer, and Paul Saccone, FCP product manager, will be on hand at the lafcpug meeting to discuss Final Cut Pro 4.0, take questions, and gather feedback. Before and after their session, such vendors as Promax, AJA, Medea, DV Creators, and Digital Anarchy will be displaying their wares in the lobby of the Digital Cinema Lab.
For more info, including directions and parking instructions, go to the lafcpug Web site. A US$5 donation will be requested at the door.
