Aargon Deluxe released
Red Marble Games has released a new logic game called Aargon Deluxe, in which you must use mirrors, beam splitters, refractors, prisms, color converters and other objects to divert a laser beam to its goal.
Hang3000 v2.09 released
Ken Winograd and Space-Time Associates has released a free update to Hang3000, their “secretly educational” word-guessing game based on Hangman. The new version sports a memory fix for Mac OS 9 users.
Hyperion to make IncaSoft games
AmigaWorld noted that Hyperion Entertainment — which has previously developed Shogo: Mobile Armor Division for the Mac — struck a deal with IncaSoft to develop games for Mac OS, AmigaOS and Linux. The first game will be a racing game called Midnight Racing.
Myth III v1.1 demo released
Myth Developers has released a demo version of their update to Myth III: The Wolf Age. The update fixes over 40 game play issues and stability problems. You can use the demo to try out multiplayer capabilities over PlayMyth.net and play two solo maps also.
ScrabbleCalcX helps Scrabble play
If you’re a fan of the Scrabble word board game, ScrabbleCalcX might come in handy. It’s a $5 Scrabble score calculator for Mac OS X.
Tactical Ops Map Manager 2.0 released
Pariahware has released Tactical Ops Map Manager 2.0, which helps fans of the popular UT mod to better manage the various maps, textures, sounds, music and other elements included in the conversion.
War of Infamy Ghost Recon TC available for Mac
The War of Infamy total conversion for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon is now available for the Macintosh. War of Infamy brings Ghost Recon’s team-oriented combat to World War II, with American, German and British troops and authentic era weapons.

Inside Mac Games has posted an interview with John Fraser, who plans to offer a do-it-yourself Mac kit. MacGamer has posted a review of Alias Underground, the free 3D online game based on the ABC TV show. Apple’s Games site has posted a review of The Sims: Unleashed, an add-on for the popular game made for the Mac by Aspyr.
Closer to home
On the pages of MacCentral this week, readers noted that Freeverse Software is working on a new game called Solace, an Axis and Allies-style strategy game. Power Chips & High Rollers is now shipping from The MacPlay Store — a pair of Las Vegas-themed puzzle games. Pangea Software has released Enigmo, a new puzzle game involving different liquids. Aspyr Media has finally released a long awaited patch for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 that provides multiplayer support and force feedback. Aspyr’s Mac conversion of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets hit stores this week. MacSoft’s conversion of Dungeon Siege hits stores on April 25.
