There’s a new Final Cut Pro user group in town: Indianapolis, Indiana, to be precise. The first meeting of the Indy FCPUG will be held April 24, 2003 from 7:00 – 10:00 pm at Ivy Tech State College.
They’ll be co-hosting the meeting with the new digital video special interest group of the ApplePickers, the Indianapolis Macintosh User Group (MUG). The ApplePickers recently announced the first annual ApplePickers/Small Dog Film Festival, which will take place October 9, 2003. The first prize will be a new flat panel iMac.
The Indy FCPUG and the ApplePickers will meet together the fourth Thursday of every month. The first half of the meetings will focus on iMovie and its users; the second half will target Final Cut Pro/Express users. The April 24 meeting will cover digital video camera basics, such as shot composition and lighting, and using keyframes in Final Cut Pro and Express.
There will also be a question and answer session, a show and tell, and a raffle of products from Intelligent Assistance, eZedia, Boris, Sorenson, Digital Juice and more. Membership in the groups and attendance at the meeting are free.
