Appligent Inc. has released APSplit, a software application intended for businesses and organizations who need to extract pages or sections from PDF files and save them as new documents.
APSplit can split files by bookmarks, page ranges, lists of multiple page ranges and other criteria. This helps save download time or network bandwidth to accommodate the delivery of extra pages or content that users don’t need. APSplit then saves the extracted pages together as a new PDF file, or can save them individually.
APSplit can also split PDF files within a directory — taking the table of contents and executive summary of each PDF file within a directory and saving them to a new directory, for example. It can integrate with other Appligent software like StampPDF Batch, FDFMerge and SecurSign. It’s available for Mac OS X and other platforms and costs US$199 per server.
