Disney/Pixar’s latest computer-animated motion picture Finding Nemo comes to theaters on May 30. Computer and console video games — including two titles coming to Mac courtesy of game publisher THQ Inc. — will include a coupon redeemable for a free movie ticket in the box.
Finding Nemo tells the story of a young clownfish named Nemo who’s stolen from his underwater home. His father Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks) goes on an adventure to rescue him, accompanied by the forgetful Dory (Ellen Degeneres). The movie features the voice talents of Hollywood celebrities including Willem Dafoe, Brad Garrett, and many others. Finding Nemo is Pixar’s latest creation. Pixar, headed up by Steve Jobs when he’s not at Apple, has previously collaborated with Disney on Monsters Inc., Toy Story and Toy Story 2, and A Bug’s Life. The free movie tickets in Finding Nemo games is one element of a multimillion-dollar advertising and co-marketing campaign from Disney and numerous other licensees that’s expected to commence in early May, to help promote the movie before it hits theaters.
The free tickets will be included both in Finding Nemo — coming to Mac and PC in hybrid format (along with several console versions), as well as Nemo’s Underwater World of Fun — also to be published for Mac and PC.
