Mac author Scott Kelby has created a new book called the Mac OS X Conversion Kit. The guide purports to help Mac users still working with Mac OS 8 or 9 to migrate to Mac OS X.
Unlike other guides that explain each new feature of Mac OS X, the Mac OS X Conversion Kit takes a “before and after” approach. Two pages are dedicated to each action — the left-hand page explains how it was done the old way, and the right-hand page explains how to do the same operation in Mac OS X. The book incorporates full-color screen shots and more.
Kelby is the Editor-in-Chief of Mac Design Magazine and the President of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). He’s also a published Mac author whose books include Mac OS X Killer tips, Macintosh … The Naked Truth and other titles.
The new title won’t hit bookstores until June 2, but folks who plan to attend the Mac Design Conference next month in Chicago will be able to lay their hands on them early. The Mac OS X Conversion Kit is being published by Peachpit Press and will retail for US$29.95.
