Infinisys has released Mail Magic 2.3, an update to their US$18 application for creating and sending customized text and HTML mails for business and personal use. It’s compatible with Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.0.4 (and higher).
The application comes with several HTML templates and a template wizard that guides you through the process of inserting your own graphics and text to create your own HTML mail. Template categories include Christmas cards, birthday cards, Valentine’s Day cards, “We’ve Moved” notices, “We’ve had a Baby” notices, party invitations and customizable layouts. You don’t have to know HTML to use Mail Magic 2, but if you do, you can use it to create your own layouts.
You can use Mail Magic 2’s database functions to insert personal details for each recipient into every mail that you send out. For instance, you can include each person’s name, address and more, as well as use different greetings. You can also vary the title of the mail and portions of the text to suit a particular recipient. You can input data directly into Mail Magic 2, or import CSV files saved from other applications such as word processors, spreadsheets or databases. Version 2.3, a free update to registered users of 2.x, allows users greater control over the handling of errors that occur during mailing.
