Mac game maker and publisher Pangea Software has already seen fast success with its newest release Enigmo — a fast-paced action puzzle game in which you control the flow of various liquids into vessels using special tools to make the liquids rebound and move around a maze. Now using Enigmo may net you an iPod, if you play your cards right.
Enigmo includes a built-in level editor, and Pangea Software is hoping to stimulate development of user-made levels by sponsoring a Custom Game File Contest that runs through July 1st, 2003. On July 4th — America’s Independence Day — Pangea will pick their favorite Custom Game File as a winner to receive a new Apple iPod.
Entries will be judged on several factors, including appearance, “fun factor” and the quantity of levels in the game file. Files that pass initial muster will also be available for download from Pangea’s own Custom Game Files page. Visit Pangea’s Web site for all the details about the contest, or for more information about Enigmo itself.
In related news, Pangea Software has posted a version 1.1 update to Enigmo which is now available for download from Pangea’s Enigmo Downloads Web page. Version 1.1 includes an oft-requested feature since the game made its debut last week — the ability to run Enigmo in Windowed mode.
