has updated Surround SCM, a software configuration management (SCM) solution, to version 1.5.
Surround SCM provides control over source code changes to software development teams that require remote access, integrated defect tracking, and advanced branching and merging capabilities. Its clients and servers run on Mac OS X, Windows, Solaris, and Linux.
Version 1.5 boasts integration with Guiffy Software’s compare and merge utility, enhanced searching, shadow folders, and more. The Guiffy utility is used to compare and merge source files of any type; it has built-in support for Unicode, MBCS, and over 150 file encoding formats. It also provides folder and file compare and synchronization capabilities. Pricing for Surround SCM starts at US$595 for 1-9 licenses.
has updated ActiveDeveloper for Mac OS X to version 2.11. ActiveDeveloper is a Runtime Objective-C and C IDE, JIT compiler, and debugger with support for Cocoa, Apple’s advanced object-oriented programming environment.
The ActiveDeveloper IDE (integrated development environment) allows incremental development of any project. It comes with a Runtime Object IDE that lets you build native applications and servers directly at runtime while they run.
Version 2.11 offers stability in the live object browser. Also, it’s now possible to use the product on standalone Macs.
ActiveDeveloper costs US$99 for a single platform, multi-user license and $49 for a single platform, single-user license. Single platform, five-pack user licenses are $249.

is available. It’s a 4D plug-in for 4D 2003 that proposes a set of 4D methods that connects your 4D applications to Mac OS X’s Address Book.
Using EVX_AddressBook, you can set/get Address Book properties, including pictures, directly from 4D as well as import and export contacts as vCards, the email equivalent to a business card. The plug-in also offers synchronization via iSync. EVX_AddressBook costs $99.
has released 4DiTools, an application for all 4D developers that offers tools for managing macros, colors, and ASCII elements. Designed for Mac OS X, 4DiTools costs EUR15.
