The next meeting of the Seattle InDesign User Group is set for Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at Adobe University, 801 N. 34th Street, Seattle, WA. Discussions at the meeting will include one that many Mac designers have utilized over the years: AppleScript.
Olav Martin Kvern, Adobe’s Scripting Evangelist and co-author of Real World Adobe InDesign 2.0, will talk to the group about how you can use AppleScript — topics will range from basic time savers to powerhouse solutions. Another session, called “Hijacking AppleScripts,” will focus on where to find scripts online, how to look at InDesign’s scripting dictionary and how to alter found scripts to suit your needs.
Other topics of the meeting include a Plug-in Watch and Tips and Tricks, which will focus on transparency and printing.
More information on the meeting can be found at the InDesign User Group’s Web site.
