The User Group University Library is now online and available at the MUG Center, an online resource for Mac User Groups (MUGs). User Group University (UGU) is a daylong seminar designed to assist MUG leaders in managing, operating and growing their organizations.
With material from six different UGUs at Macworld Expo in San Francisco, and New York, the USU Library has over 70 video, audio, slide and resource documents from sessions in these categories: opening sessions and keynotes; user group operations; user group interaction; marketing and publicity; vendor and retailer relationships; “Working With People”; MUG communications; youth and campus group sessions; events and community activities; leadership tools, resources and training switchers.
In other MUG news, Dave Marra, Apple senior systems engineer has announced more appearances for his ongoing tour of user groups in the Northeast. He’ll be appearing in following places:
Connecticut PC Users Group on April 22;
South Jersey Apple Users Group on April 23;
Philadelphia Area Computer Society (a special Final Cut Express presentation) on April 26;
MUG ONE on May 6;
Main Line Macintosh Users Group on May 10.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to
Apple’s User Group Web page.
