Lexmark Inc. has unveiled a new line of consumer products, including all-in-ones, six-color photo printers, and general-purpose inkjets.
The all-in-one, US$99 Lexmark PrinTrio X1150 integrates color print, scan, and copy capabilities. It’s designed for consumers “who want a wide range of functionality without the complexity typically associated with multifunction devices,” Lexmark spokesperson Andy Rohr told MacCentral.
The $49 Lexmark Z600 Color Jetprinter Series offers up to 4800 x 1200 dpi print resolution and print speeds of up to 14 pages-per-minute (ppm) in black and up to 8 ppm in color.
The $79 Lexmark Z700 Photo Jetprinter Series sports up to 4800 dpi resolution, six-color photo print support, edge-to-edge printing, and “ease-of-use” features including automatic cartridge alignment and PrecisionSense technology. The latter automatically adjusts the driver according to the media being fed through the paper tray.
The $99 Lexmark P700 Photo Jetprinter Series is the industry’s first sub-$100 photo printer with on-board camera card readers, according to Rohr. It offers up to 2400 x 1200 dpi in black and white and up to 4800 x 1200 in color. Print speeds are up to 17 (draft) ppm black in black and white and up to 10 (draft) ppm in color.
All the Lexmark devices are compatible with Mac OS X 10.1.5 and higher and Mac OS 9.2.2. The all-in-one and new printers offer USB connectivity and will be available in late spring or early summer.
