Stone Design is shipping FontSight, a new shareware plug-in that adds a visual font typeface menu to all Cocoa applications with a Font or Format menu. Cocoa is Apple’s collection of advanced, object-oriented application programming interfaces for developing applications written in Java and Objective-C.
With FontSight choosing a new font changes the selected text’s typeface. You can use it to view and print all fonts at any size, set the font size of the menu, and determine if the visual font typeface menu appears at top level or in Format menu. You can configure FontSight in two ways — where the menu appears and whether the menu shows families in submenus or as one big list.
FontSight offers one-click install — and uninstall. It costs US$19 with “free upgrades for life,” according to Stone Design.
