Now Software has added integration with Mac OS X’s Address Book to Now Up-to-Date & Contact, the calendar and contact manager.
Address Book integration is available as a free standalone sync application for users of Now Up-to-Date & Contact Version 4.1 and higher. The Address Book Sync application lets you synchronize contact files between Now Contact and Address Book.
The Address Book Sync application is flexible, letting you choose the direction of import/export, the categories of contacts to be synced, and the categories into which new contacts are placed. These capabilities make it possible for users of Now Up-to-Date & Contact to eliminate multiple contact information entries and to take advantage of technologies such as iSync and Bluetooth to transfer data from Now Contact to Bluetooth enabled phones, according to John Wallace, president of Now Software. He said that support for iCal, Apple’s calendar i-app, is planned for the future.
Now Up-to-Date & Contact Version 4.2.6 has a suggested retail price of US$129.95, with electronic downloads available for $119.95. Upgrades from earlier versions of Now Up-to-Date & Contact are $49.95. Registered owners of version 4.0 or later may obtain an electronic upgrade for free.
