Totally Hip Inc. has updated LiveStage Professional for Mac OS X to version 4.1. The latest version of the QuickTime authoring environment, adds features for making simple, interactive virtual reality (VR) movies and support for MindAvenue’s Axel 3D, an application for publishing interactive 3D content for the Web.
Supporting 360 degree panoramic, cubic, or object movies, LiveStage Pro 4.1 lets you create interactive QTVR presentations. By using new FastTracks, it’s now simpler to add a map, compass, and directional sound to your QTVR, according to David Dicaire, CEO and president of Totally Hip. LiveStage Pro’s user interface has been redesigned to emphasize working in a visual environment. Version 4.1 also supports the new features of QuickTime 6, including MPEG-4 and Flash 5.
Version 4.1 is a free update to registered of LiveStage Pro 4.0. New users can buy it at a special price of US$449.95 (normally it’s $899.95); educational users pay $349.95.
