PowerMax Computers is offering a trade-in program for iPods, as noted on Your Mac Life. The program is targeted to current iPod owners who want to upgrade to the new models introduced on Monday.
Send in a 5GB iPod and you can get US $100 off a new model. The company offers $150 for a 10GB model and $175 for a 20GB iPod. Buy a new iPod from PowerMax Computing at full price, they sent it to you, and give you up to 10 days to ship them your old one.
Once they have it and check it over, they credit the appropriate amount to your account. “It has to be in good working order, but iPods whose batteries aren’t ‘up to snuff’ will still be accepted, according to Shawn King, host-producer of Your Mac Life. PowerMax says the whole procedure shouldn’t take longer than 4-6 weeks. Call 1-888-769-7629 for details.
