Appligent Inc. has announced the release of AppendPDF Pro 3.0, a major new version of their PDF creation tool. With AppendPDF Pro, users can built customized versions of PDF documents.
AppendPDF Pro 3.0 now includes support for Extensible Markup Language, or XML, to create parameter files. The new version also support “linearization” or optimization of PDF files, so you can view the first page of a document while the rest is continuing to download. AppendPDF Pro 3.0 also supports 40- and 128-bit encryption and user permissions.
AppendPDF Pro’s customization features include the ability to generate unique cover letters and tables of contents, bookmarks, and more. The software can also be used to “stamp” PDF pages with unique headers or footers, page numbers, rotated text and graphics, typographic effects and Bates numbering for legal documents.
A server-based application that runs from a command line interface, AppendPDF Pro 3.0 works with multiple platforms including Mac OS X. It can also be integrated with Appligent’s other utilities like StampPDF Batch, FDFMerge and SecureSign. For pricing and other details, visit Appligent’s Web site.
