Metaobject has released BookLightning, a Mac OS X-native imposition program.
BookLightning helps to arrange PDF files so that when they’re printed, they’re in the correct order for folding. Metaobject has positioned BookLightning as a “lightweight” imposition program suitable for creating booklets and simple magazines. The software works with any PDF file and can also work directly from Mac OS X’s print panel.
Created using Apple’s Cocoa application framework, BookLightning is fully native for OS X. It also requires a duplex printer for direct print support.
BookLightning 1.0 is available for download now. It costs US$49 to register.
