Avid Technology Inc. has announced its upcoming Experience Avid|DNA tour. The two-month long tour will stop in nine cities across the U.S. and Canada to show attendees Avid’s new Digital Nonlinear Accelerator (DNA) technology, unveiled last month during the NAB 2003 conference.
DNA devices include the Avid DS Nitris, Media Composer Adrenaline and Avid Xpress Pro with Avid Mojo. The new hardware provides acceleration for the capabilities of Avid’s software. The tour will show off that technology paired with new products from Digidesign and Softimage as well — two subsidiaries of Avid.
The tour consists of one-day events that include five, 90 minute sessions between 9 – 6 each day. Attendees get complimentary lunch and a presentation from an Avid executive.
The tour kicks of on May 13, 2003 in Dallas and goes to New York, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington DC, Montreal and Toronto throughout May and July.
Registration is required to attend, but it’s free — what’s more, registrants will be entered in a giveaway to win a free copy of Avid Xpress Pro, the company’s software-based digital video editing solution that runs natively on Mac OS X.
