Apple received two nominations in the Product Design category of the 2003 D&AD (Design and Art Direction) awards. They’re nominated for the flat panel G4 iMac and the Xserve rackmount 1U server.
The other two nominees in the Product Design were a Casio digital camera and Nike’s PSA Portable Sports Audio Collection. There are 26 categories in all from Television & Cinema Advertising to Environmental Design & Architecture, according to Macworld UK . D&AD is a professional association and charity representing the UK’s design and advertising community.
Last year Apple CEO Steve Jobs visited London to collect three D&AD awards. The company won awards for the Titanium PowerBook G4 and the iBook.
In 2001, Apple won awards for the G4 Cube, Apple Pro Speakers and Apple Pro Mouse. And in 2000, the company brought home trophies for the Cinema Display, Power Mac G4 and iBook.
