For those who’ve wanted to add wheels to their Power Mac tower case, Marathon Computer is introducing the MacSkate, an attachment with four swivel casters.
It’s designed to get your Mac off the floor and add mobility, according to David Soch of Marathon. MacSkate is built of a single piece of heavy-gauge, aircraft-grade aluminum. It replaces the two handles on the bottom of the case for a custom-fitted coupling to the Mac’s case.
If you want to remove MacSkate, it’s no big deal as there are no permanent modifications to your Mac’s case, according to Soch. And it comes with all the tools for installation and removal.
MacSkate is due to ship at the end of the month. Pricing hasn’t yet been determined.
