Virtix Inc. has released iBubble for iMovie, a package of 13 titles that comes with its own custom user interface so you can place the titles in a variety of locations.
iBubble contains “Thought Bubbles” and “Speech Bubbles,” cartoon-like images that can be imposed to make it appear as if a person is speaking certain words or thinking certain thoughts. The bubbles can be moved around, so that they look like they are associated with one particular person.
Virtix iBubble also has “Labels with Arrows” that lets you use the application’s custom user interface to place the labels and direct the arrows to certain objects. The titles can be used in instructional videos, for pointing out details in home movies, or just for fun, according to Virtix.
You can place “Plain Text” titles anywhere on the screen. This allows you to, for example, identify individuals in a group picture. The “Glowing Text” titles will show up on any color background. The “Moving Text” titles will move across the screen, then pause on a position you choose, and then continue off the edge of the screen.
The complete 13 titles included in iBubble are Glow, Motion, Oval, Oval Arrow, Oval Speech, Plain, Rectangular, Rectangular Arrow, Rectangular Speech, Round, Round Arrow, Round Speech, and Thought Bubble. The US$24.99 product is compatible with Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.x and works with iMovie 2 and iMovie 3.
