Codenautics Software has released Meshwork 2.0, a major update to their 3D modeling app designed to create compact, efficient triangular meshes.
Meshwork was developed to help create 3D models for games, on the Web, and other applications where performance is of paramount importance.
Changes since the last release includes uniform scaling of VRML export on all three axes; a new “Face Consistent” feature; improved 3DS file import/export; initial support for SKN format (used in The Sims); more properly interpreted textures at resolutions other than 72dpi; improved compatibility with Quesa; and more.
Distributed as shareware, Meshwork costs US$30 to register. It’s available both for Mac OS X and “Classic” Mac OS.
