The Learning Co.’s corporate parent Riverdeep is showing off its new lineup of titles for 2003 at this week’s E3 Expo in Los Angeles, Calif.
Riverdeep’s new titles include Batman Edutainment Adventures, two new games targeted at boys ages seven to ten. The new games feature Batman and his gadgets, as players work to foil the efforts of famous Batman enemies like The Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face and The Penguin. Look for it this September on hybrid CD-ROM.
Coming to Mac and PC this October is Strawberry Shortcake Fantasy Cookie Factory!, a new game aimed at girls ages four to six. Players travel through Strawberry Shortcake’s imaginary wonderland filled with sweets as they build thinking, listening and reasoning skills.
Popular Japanese animation Hamtaro, a gleeful cartoon hamster, also comes to the Mac this October with Hamtaro: Wake Up Snoozer! Hamtaro, Boss, Bijou and the other Ham-Hams join kids as they build basic addition and subtraction skills, learn geometric shapes, phones, letter recognition and more.
A new game based on the PBS TV series Cyberchase bows this September — Cyberchase Casablanca Quest and Carnival Chaos. Kids ages eight to eleven learn new math skills as they outwit the villain and save Cyberspace.
