Feral Interactive offered up the first look at its forthcoming Mac conversion of Empire Interactive’s Total Immersion Racing, a GT sports car racing game that’s currently in conversion.
Total Immersion Racing is a full-on driving simulator featuring licensed GT class cars from Lister Storm, BMW M3 GTR, Bentley Speed 8 and the Nobel M12. The game also features real-world racetracks like Hockenheim, Monza, Sebring and Rockingham.
Originally developed by Razorworks, Total Immersion Racing is available for Windows, Xbox and PlayStation 2. Specific details about the Macintosh conversion are still scant, although Feral spokesman Camille Thouvenin noted that development “is barrelling along.”
Features in Total Immersion Racing sports features like computer-controlled drivers with their own personalities, memories of racing against you (and grudges), and more. A career-based mode enables you to start out as a rookie and work your way up the ranks of professional racing. Total Immersion Racing also features unlockable cars and tracks.
