Casady & Greene released a new version (1.0.6) of iData Pro, their database product for Mac OS X and Mac OS 8.6-9.x. The update optimized save methods for faster saves, enhanced compatibility with Netscape 7 mailboxes and more.
iData is a database application targeted to users who don’t need the high-end features of products such as FileMaker Pro. Its search engine finds whole records or pieces of data and includes support for Boolean searches. In addition to the previously mentioned changes, version 1.0.6 adds improved modem dialing, better handling of HTML e-mail imports and enhanced general import handling for improved performance, according to C&G.
It’s a free update to registered users. For new users, the cost is US$39.95; registered users of InfoGenie 1.x-2.x, QuickDex or Super QuickDex, can upgrade to iData Pro for $19.95. The upgrade is available as an electronic download (the physical product will ship soon). A demo of iData Pro is available at the company’s Web site.
