New members of the Apple Regional Liaison Team (RLT) have been announced. The RLT, first announced in January, 2001, is a group designed to increase the visibility of Mac User Groups (MUGs) worldwide, connecting MUGs on a regional basis, and connecting those regions to Apple.
“Apple Regional Liaisons are user group leaders who run successful user groups in their communities,” according to Apple. “As volunteers, they have made themselves available to help groups in their areas of responsibility thrive. They also network with groups in their regions and keep Apple informed on local needs.”
The expanded team includes representatives for North and South America, Europe, Eastern Asia, and Oceania. It also includes special representation for online and Final Cut Pro groups. A complete list of the team members can be found at The MUG Center, an online resource for MUGs. Complete information, biographies and the contact links of team members are also available at the Regional Liaison Team page on the Apple Web site.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware.
