Wildform has released Wild fx 3.0, an update to the Flash text animation software formerly sold as SWfx. The new version gains new effects and many other changes, too. The name change for Wild fx was spurred because “no one could pronounce SWfx,” according to Wildform CEO Jonathan Blank.
Wild fx 3.0 sports more than 400 built-in effects that work with built-in fonts. The software supports double byte characters like Japanese and Chinese language fonts, and more.
Wild fx 3.0 adds more than 100 new effects, including 45 that are “infinitely customizable.” You can generate new effects templates yourself, add background images, text fills, gradients and strokes. Wild fx supports automatic text justification and now features an expanded HTML export option.
New Flash functions supported in 3.0 include links, custom variables, looping, on-click actions and more.
Wild fx costs US$39 and works with Mac OS 10.x or 9.x, and Windows. Upgrades from SWfx cost $25.
