The Mac Filmmakers, a user group located in Silicon Valley, will meet tonight at 7 p.m., in the De Anza Three Auditorium at Apple’s Cupertino, California headquarters. The evening will be devoted to Final Cut Pro 4.
Courtesy of Apple, the group will showcase some of the features of the next version of the professional video editing application in advance of its official release later this spring. Apple announced Final Cut Pro 4 on April 6 at the National Association of Broadcasters trade show. The new version incorporates more than 300 new features and introduces “RT Extreme,” a new real-time compositing and effects system.
Auditorium doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with demo reels shown at 7 p.m. After that Kirk Paulsen of Apple will demo FCP 4 and answer questions. Parking is free. Directions to Apple’s headquarters and the De Anza Three Auditorium can be found at the Mac Filmmakers Web site.
