Boris FX is shipping Title Toolkit, a set of plug-ins for creating titles that can be animated within Adobe After Effects.
One plug-in Vector Text, lets you create text with inimitable borders, fill, softness, and shadows within the After Effects Controls and Timeline windows. You can then place text on a path, rotate and move it in 3D space, or animate text on or off the screen by character, by word, or by line.
Text Scrambler is a plug-in for randomizing or scrambling text or text styles and animating fields of random text, numbers or styles. It also lets you animate to and from random text and user-defined text.
The Title Crawl plug-in is for generating automated roll or crawl animation with built-in options for hard or soft masks, maintaining defined pixels per second speed, and 3D rotation control.
With the Vector Shape plug-in, you can create shapes for text backdrops and vector graphic elements using a selection of preset shape primitives with multiple animatable parameters. Or you can use an After Effects mask to define the shape. The plug-in allows you to apply border and shadow styles and use an alternate layer as a texture map or video fill and rotate, position, and animate your shape in 3D space.
The Boris Title Toolkit is available for Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.x systems running Adobe After Effects 5.5 and higher. Through July 1, you can buy it for US$199; after this the price will be $249. A demo version is available for download.
