Apple has released new HomePage templates for .Mac Web pages. New photo albums include Kids Pink and Pushpin, while iMovie users can take advantage of the Projector template.
.Mac is Apple’s US$99 subscription service that offers a bundle of Internet tools. It includes the Mac.com e-mail service, an online contact manager that syncs with the Mac OS X’s Address Book, the iDisk personal storage space, the HomePage Web site creation tool, anti-virus software, a backup application, and personal e-mail greeting cards (iCards).
You can test drive a 60-day free trial version. Backup and iDisk Utility require Mac OS X 10.1; iCal’s .Mac publishing feature requires Mac OS X 10.2; and iSync’s Mac-to-Mac sync requires Mac OS X 10.2.1. All other .Mac software and services, including Virex anti-virus, E-mail, HomePage and iDisk, work in both Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. iDisk and .Mac Mail also work with most Windows operating systems.
