Nemetschek North America has updated the VectorWorks 10 series of CAD products to version 10.1.2. The update purportedly utilizes your Mac’s processor more efficiently, resulting in extended battery life for laptop users.
Vectorworks Architect is a Mac OS X line of CAD development programs. They’re designed to streamline all phases of the design and production process, from project setup to programming, schematic design development and construction documents.
VectorWorks 10.1.2 includes speed fixes for snapping. Nemetschek says that VectorWorks Landmark users will have an easier time with the increased DTM reliability, and VectorWorks Architect users will find the improved wall cavity joins easier to use. What’s more, VectorWorks Spotlight users can take advantage of an improved Curved Truss tool.
Landmark is a version of VectorWorks targeted to landscape architects and site designers. Architect, for building architects, is designed to streamline the design process. Spotlight is entertainment and lighting design software.
The 10.1.2 update is free from the Nemetschek Web site. Or, for a shipping fee, you can request the 10.1.2 update on CD; the update CD will automatically be shipped free of charge to customers who have purchased the VectorWorks Industry Collection (a collection of all the VectorWorks products bundled together). For more information on the pricing structure of the CAD product line, go to the Nemetschek Web site.
