Artist Peter Max and Jurgen Kurz, Quark Inc.’s vice president of product management, have joined the lineup of July’s Macworld CreativePro Conference & Expo.
The show will run July 14-18 at New York City’s Javits Center. The event is expected to draw professionals from design, publishing, video, and audio fields, together with hundreds of exhibitors, and will offer in-depth conference tracks for Mac-using pros involved in different creative markets.
Max is an artist who works with a wide variety of media, from oils to acrylics, etchings to sculpture, computer graphics, and more. His work has appeared in more than 100 museums and galleries worldwide. During his CreativePro feature presentation, “A Conversation with Peter Max,” Max will discuss his insights on artistic creativity and inspiration in a multimedia world. The artist will also be signing copies of the new book, “The Art of Peter Max,” published by Abrams Books.
Kurz directs the creation of QuarkXPress and Quark’s publishing and enterprise content management solutions. During his CreativePro presentation, he’ll talk about the benefits of QuarkXPress as a productivity tool for creative professionals. According to IDG World Expo, producer of the show, Kurz will “also unveil new functionality and discuss benefits to the QuarkXPress user.” It’s not official, but it’s hoped he’ll talk about the upcoming Mac OS X compatible version of QuarkXPress.
