The University of Michigan School of Art & Design is requiring that all incoming students for fall 2003 purchase a computer bundle that includes a 1GHz PowerBook G4, LaCie 60GB drive, and Epson CX5200 printer/scanner/copier. The bundle also includes Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Office X, Apple’s Keynote, and various Adobe products.
Students were notified of the required bundle in their admissions information packets. You can see the link to order the bundle online. Access to that area is restricted to authorized individuals, however, including all students and graduates.
The entire initiative was put together by Apple’s local sales representatives. The University of Michigan has branches in Dearborn and Flint.
