Fidelity Media Inc. has updated MegaSeg, their music mixing automation software, to version 2.6.3, so that it can now read the annotation tags of AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) compressed audio files used by Apple’s new iTunes Music Store.
Before this update, MegaSeg could import and play AAC files but lacked artist, album, and genre information. Also new in version 2.6.3 is a bug fix so that the fade-in/out preferences now work on international systems that use a decimal separator rather than a period. Finally, the Refresh Library command adds a progress dialog while it builds the folder list.
MegaSeg 2.6.3 is a free update for registered users of version 2.5 and newer; upgrades from MegaSeg 2.1 and earlier versions are $49. For new users the cost is US$169. Site licensing and volume purchase discounts are available. MegaSeg supports Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.
