Waterfield Designs has released a new Racer-X case for the 12-inch PowerBook. It joins the existing Racer-X cases for the 17-inch and 15-inch pro laptops.
The US$129 Racer-X computer case is 12.5 inches wide, 10 inches tall, and 4.5 inches deep. It sports two zippered, interior compartments. One encases and protects the laptop itself with layers of neoprene, foam, and corrugated plastic. The other compartment is for documents and files; it also has pockets for storing accessories such as DVDs, spare batteries, and AC adapters.
An exterior pocket can be used to stash magazines and files. And there’s yet another pocket; this one slips over most carry-on luggage handles.
Racer-X cases have an exterior lined with military grade, ballistic nylon and trimmed with Indium fabric. They can be hand-carried via a mountain bike grip or transported with a shoulder strap.
