Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division has rolled out the XD50U, the newest in the Mini-Mits line of lightweight Digital Light Processing (DLP) projectors.
The 3.4-pound XD50U serves up 1500 ANSI lumens and a 1500-to-1 contrast ratio. The projector offers XGA (1024 x 768 pixel) native resolution, zoom and focus lens, and a wireless remote control. Additionally, it can accept HDTV input signals.
All the Mini-Mits projects utilize Mitsubishi’s ColorView technology, which expands the control of the color spectrum of your LCD projector from RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) to include YMC (Yellow, Magenta, and Cyan) — similar to the color range of CRT displays. With ColorView, each of the six colors can be individually adjusted without affecting the hues of the other spectrum colors.
The XD50U Mini-Mits will be available later this month. It’s expected to have a manufacturers suggested retail price of US$3,495.
