Photos and information regarding the MUG (Mac User Group) Dinner at last week’s MacDesign Conference are now online at The MUG Center, an online resource for user groups.
Lesa Snider and Lorene Romero of the Apple User Group Advisory Board hosted an informal “dutch treat” informal get-together on Thursday, May 29. The Advisory Board is a group of leaders who run successful user groups in their communities. Chartered with providing feedback and advice on issues related to the Apple User Group Program, they’ve also volunteered to organize and create programs and events that benefit the entire user group community.
At last week’s dinner, Snider and Romero provided information about the Apple User Group Program, establishing relationships with a local Apple Store, the importance of communicating through the Apple User Group Discussion list, and more.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s User Group Web page.
